Inside the National Western Stock Show


It's that time of year! The National Western Stock Show takes over Denver with one of the city’s most iconic winter traditions. From rodeos and livestock shows to food, shopping, and entertainment, there is a lot to see and do. Here is a simple guide to help you make the most of your visit.
 
When and Where

Stock Show Kick-Off Parade
Date: Thursday, January 8, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM - The parade typically lasts about 1.5 hours and starts at Union Station in downtown Denver and proceeds along 17th Street.
 
National Western Stock Show
Dates: January 10 to January 25, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Sunday–Thursday) and 9:00 PM (Friday–Saturday) during most days of the show.

Tips Before You Go

  • Wear comfortable shoes, as the grounds are large and involve a lot of walking.
  • Arrive early for popular events, especially rodeos.
